Pole. 85 days. Dry/shelling bean. A beautifully unique bean from Africa. Beans are an olive/sage green when mature and dry, but will become white and tender when cooked. Plants will climb, but will not get as large as traditional pole beans- only reaching a height of about 6 ft when grown up a trellis. Very early production for a dry bean with good productivity! Can tolerate heat exceptionally well. Plants tend to grow straight up and seem to favor pod production over leaf production. Pick often to ensure productivity. Plant outside after all danger of frost has passed. Soaking beans/peas in warm water for 12-24 hours before planting helps them germinate much more reliably. 25-30 seeds per pack
